Summer Defence Skills

Built for players who want to become stronger, smarter, and more confident defencemen.

This weekly Defence Camp focuses on core defensive skills that translate directly to game play. Players will learn how to defend with purpose, poise, and confidence — not just react.

Monday | 6:00 – 6:50 p.m

June 29 until August 31 (10 total)

SMC

Ages U11 – U15 (Groups will be split by age and skill level)

Players will work on:

• Strong defensive positioning
• Gap control and angling
• Defending with body and stick
• Keeping plays to the outside
• Learning different escape skills under pressure
• Making confident first passes after retrievals

Sessions are led by former CHL defencemen with real playing and coaching experience, creating a focused environment where players learn what it truly takes to defend at the next level.
