CHANDLER BELL

Chandler grew up in Tantallon, Nova Scotia and is currently in his final season of U18 playing for the Halifax Macs U18AAA program, where he leads the league with a 1.69 GAA and is second with a 938% save percentage.

Chandler has had opportunities with both the Amherst Ramblers of the MJAHL and the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL this season.

His attention to detail, knowledge of the game and the position, his ability to connect with younger goaltenders, has made Chandler a respected and sought after coach and mentor.

GIOVACCHINO DIMATTIA

Gio grew up playing in the Halifax Hawks organization, where he excelled at the goaltender position. His journey has taken him from the local AAA level to Grand Falls, NB playing in the MJAHL, to then splitting a season between Cape Breton and Shawinigan in the QMJHL.

He finished off junior hockey splitting his final season between Grand Falls and Pictou County in the MJAHL, and is now in his second season with Dalhousie University Men's Hockey team.

Gio's playing experience, knowledge of the game and the position, and positive attitude are what minor hockey goaltenders will benefit from, working with Gio.

BRODY FOURNIER

Brody grew up playing AAA hockey in the Ottawa area and after finishing his final year of U18AAA, he continued his hockey dreams playing locally in Smiths Falls, for two seasons in the CCHL.

He then found his way east, where he played two seasons in the QMJHL with the Halifax Mooseheads and Saint John Sea Dogs.

Brody is currently in his second season with the Dalhousie University Men's Hockey Team.

We are excited to have Brody's passion and energy at the facility!

TYLER GUY

Tyler grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick where he played his minor hockey at the AAA level.

Upon completion of his final year of U18AAA with the Fredericton Caps, Tyler moved out to Estevan, Saskatchewan to play two season with the Estevan Bruins in the SJHL.

Following those two seasons, Tyler moved closer to home where he finished his junior hockey playing for the Truro Bearcats.

Tyler is now a full time student at Dalhousie University and works in the summer's in Fredericton with Total Speed Hockey.

You'll find Tyler around the skating treadmill, helping all players reach their true potential.

Jack Harper

Jack grew up in Guelph, Ontario where he played his minor hockey, that lead him to be drafted in the 7th round of the OHL by the Flint Firebirds.

After minor hockey, Jack played 1 year in the OJHL with the Burlington Cougars, followed by 3 seasons in the OHL with the Flint Firebirds, Guelph Storm and Kitchener Rangers and completing his final year of junior hockey with the Burlington Cougars of the OJHL.

Following his junior playing career, Jack has completed 2 full seasons with Dalhousie University and is currently in his 3rd season, while taking full time studies.

We are excited to have Jack running sessions on ice and in the facility!

ZACH JENKINS

Zach grew up in Lower Sackville, NS where he played his local minor hockey at the AAA level.

After completing his final season of minor hockey with the Steele Subaru, he joined the Sackville Blazers of the NSJHL, where he is currently in his 4th season.

BARRET KIRWIN

Barret grew up in Barrie, Ontario where he played his minor hockey at the AAA level.

Upon completion of minor hockey, he joined the Guelph Storm of the OHL. He played two full seasons with the Storm and was traded to Owen Sound, where he finished the season, and completed one more to finish his junior playing career.

Barret joined the Dalhousie Men's Hockey Team in 2021. Once his first season was complete, he joined the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL for the remainder of the season. He played 1 more season in the ECHL with Wichita before rejoining the Tigers, where he is now in his 4th season.

DAWSON LAPLANTE

Dawson grew up in Sackville, NS, playing his local minor hockey at the AAA level.

After completing his final season of minor hockey with the Cole Harbour Wolfpack of the NS U18AAA league, he joined the Sackville Blazers of the NSJHL, where he is currently in his 2nd season.

JAMES SHEPPARD

James grew up in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, developing his game through the local minor hockey system before moving on to elite levels of competition. He played major junior hockey with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, where his skill, hockey IQ, and compete level quickly stood out.

His junior career led to an incredible milestone — James was selected 9th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild, going on to play several seasons at the NHL level along with a long professional career.

James brings firsthand experience from every step of the hockey pathway — from local rinks in Nova Scotia to the highest levels of the game — and we’re excited for our athletes to learn from his knowledge, detail, and professional habits.

ZAK SMITH

Zak joins us from Austin, Manitoba, where he grew up playing minor hockey in the Central Plains AAA program.

After his final season of U18, Zak split his first year of junior hockey between the Neepawa Natives of the MJHL and the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL, where he played three more full seasons of hockey.

In his final season of junior hockey, he captained the Flin Flon Bombers of the SJHL.

Zak is currently in his fourth full season with the Dalhousie Men's Hockey Team.
